RENTAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

1.      CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 3:00 P.M. (NO early check Ins-See penalty under 6. Security/Damage Deposit) AND CHECK-OUT IS 10:00 A.M.  **Destin is Central Standard Time.**

                       

2.      This is a NO SMOKING unit.  No barbecuing on balcony.

 

3.      PETS are NOT permitted in rental units under any conditions.  No exceptions.  Many boarding kennels are available in the local area.

 

4.      Parking Pass – Renters must display a parking pass on the rear view mirror at all times.  Failure to display pass may result in towing of vehicle at renter’s expense.

 

5.       We are family oriented and will not rent to vacationing students or young adults under 25 years of age unless accompanied by a legal adult guardian or parent who will be staying in the unit for the entire period of the accommodation.  Chaperoned groups are prohibited.  Reservations made under false pretenses may be subject to forfeiture of security/damage deposit and/or rent.

 

6.      SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT- A Security/Damage deposit of $200 is required.  This must be received within five (5) days of booking the reservation.  The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival.  The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met:

  1. No damage or theft is done to unit or its contents.
  2. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.
  3. All food, debris and garbage are taken to the dumpsters located at the end of Building 1 and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned.
  4. All keys are returned to the lock box.  Laminated parking passes and beach service cards are left in the unit.
  5. No early check ins or late check outs.
  6. No linens are lost or damaged.
  7. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.  (Long Distance calls have been blocked-Please use a calling card or cell phone)

 

7.      PAYMENT – An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required 60 days before arrival.  The advance payment will be applied toward the room rent.  Please make payments in the form of travelers checks, bank money orders, cashiers checks or personal checks made payable to Dianne Dhanani.  Mail to: Dianne Dhanani, 627 Gold Valley Pass, Canton, GA  30114.  The advance payment is not a damage deposit.  The BALANCE OF RENT is due fourteen (14) days before your arrival date.

 

8.      CANCELLATIONS – A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation.  Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur $50 handling charge which will be deducted from your security/damage deposit. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay or change of dates that are made within 60 days of the arrival date forfeit the full advance payment and security/damage deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent and deposit.

 

9.      MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS – Monthly renters must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. 

10.  MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests per this condominium is limited to seven (7) persons.  If this is exceeded, you will be asked to check out and full rent will be forfeited.

 

11.  THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A THREE (3) NIGHT MINIMUM STAY.  Longer minimum stays may be required during summer and holiday periods.

 

12.  INCLUSIVE FEES –Amenity fees are included in the rental rate.

 

13.  NO DAILY MAID SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate however is available at an additional rate.  We suggest you bring your own beach towels and beach blankets as linens and towels must not be removed from the unit.

 

14.  RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice.

 

15.  FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.

 

16.  WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.

 

17.  HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY – No refunds will be given unless:

 

a.       The National Weather Service orders mandatory evacuations in a “Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area” and/or

b.      A “mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning” area of residence of a vacationing guest.

 

The day that the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation order in a “Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning,” area, we will refund:

a.       Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered,

b.      Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten their stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and

c.       Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the “Hurricane Warning” period.

 

If any guests change their reservations in lieu of canceling, we will:

a.       Give them the three-night rate if they are currently registered and they shorten their stay to one or two nights;

b.      Give them the weekly prorated rate if they are currently registered for a weekly or longer stay and shorten their stay to less than seven nights, but stay at least three nights; or

c.       Allow a currently registered guest to change their reservation dates without penalty, provided they change to other dates within the same calendar year of the original reservation.
